Music composed by Nitin Sawhney and mixed here at the Sanctuary in 5.1 Surround by David McEwan,Human Planet is a new eight-part landmark BBC natural history series.Filmed in high definition, Human Planet is an epic record of how different peoples adapt to different surroundings. Each episode focuses on one single environment: desert, jungles, arctic, grasslands, rivers, mountains, oceans and urban.
Check this out on BBC 1 from January 13th 2011 in the UK then not long after in the rest of the World.

Hey, any chance of a soundtrack coming out? Or a track-listing, in particular for the Cities episode? The program would have been nothing without the awesome soundtrack!
Might happen if the demand is high.Im all for it but its up to the BBC im afraid.
I really really want the soundtrack to these episodes. I’m going crazy trying to find them
I would definately would be interested in purchasing the soundtrack, it gave a very epic and cinematic feeling to the video footage and without it the program would have not been as good. It was a perfect mix of the two.
Thanks for the feedback ,myself and Nitin would dearly love to have it released on CD or even better SACD in 5.1 ! There is a possible live show
next year which could generate enough interest to get a CD off the ground.

I agree, having a soundtrack, especially for the “Cities” episode, would be amazing! Even just having it in iTunes would be cool, though I know the actual artist doesn’t profit much from that. Hopefully one day the great music in this series can be made available on CD.
it would be really tragic if soundtrack for human planet is not released.. this music deserves to be listened by people around the world.
btw Mr.David McEwan congratulations to you and whole BBC Human Planet team for the success of the serious. you guys are true genius, humanity needs more people like you rather than justin bieber and lady gaga[imho].

BBC Proms Planet Earth just on, soundtrack is an absolute must, craving it like a drug, especially Mongolian and Siberian tracks which were beyond words. Please, please the BBC must release it.
